The County Party and the County Elections Office work slcosely to keep the precinct leader list as current as possible and a new list is published the first week of every month.
How are Precinct Leaders Selected?
- Precinct leaders are elected during the August primary election by the registered republican voters living in the precinct.
- The County party can fill vacancies pursuant to the By-Laws.

What is the Precinct Leader's Role as an Elected State Official
- According to state law, precinct leaders elect replacements for elected Republican officials who have resigned their position. The replacement fills the post until the next regularly scheduled election for that position.

- All it takes to get your name on the ballot for precinct leader is to fill out a simpe form, have it notarized, and sent to the Johnson County Election Office before June 10 at noon. There is no filing fee. The form is at: [ Filing Form ]
